I saw you open for needtobreathe a few years back. You blew everyone away. You were belting out Melancholy Blue, and I looked around the room; every single person's jaw had dropped. You truly are a brilliant performer and a wonderful musician. And for the record? I used Melancholy as an audition piece for a gig singing with a band. I'm now working with Nikki McKibbin. :) I really look forward to hearing more from you. It's been quite a while, but I STILL get hyped up listening to Is It O.K. Best wishes, and keep it up! You're unique, and short, and AWESOME. Knock em dead. Worldwide.

Love this album, I can listen to it anytime and it always makes me sit up and listen. I always thought the line was "born of Jesus Christ" but obviously I am wrong.
Wish I had known about her when she played Hugh's Room, that would have been special. As a mature drummer I am a little jealous, I would be in my element and in a very happy place. Thanks Serena and break a leg at Lilith Fair.

I first heard Serena in Millbrook in 2003, I think. To be honest I'd forgotten about that folk singer I'd heard at the fall fair... I remember enjoying her passion, but wouldn't remember her name. Then one day I saw her headline the Orillia Folk Festival and I was hooked. Passion! I wish a record could capture that passion so I could listen to her all the time like I felt her that night! Amazing... pure passion. Today her music represents a huge part of my life.
