My third concert in three nights kicked off with the opening band Cuff The Duke. They played without a drummer who had an accident and couldn’t make it. I enjoyed the set, they are a good match for my musical palette. Their last record was produced by Greg Kellor of Blue Rodeo.

Two nights ago I was wearing shorts and sweating on the subway on the way to Hugh’s Room to see Fred Eaglesmith. Tonight was an outdoor show on the lake with a beautiful cool breeze.

Serena was full of energy and obviously enjoying the crowd of about 400 or 500 (my guess) who arrived, as confirmed by the fact that we got 18 songs last night. With no major events in the city and the fence from the G20 out of the way it was a quick trip back to the suburbs and a waiting bed. The 6:30 alarm seemed to come minutes later.
