Serena Ryder Discussion

When do you listen?

(20100222T165459Z )

For me, music often attaches itself to moments and memories in my life that I just can't shake.  I continually find myself turning to the 'Is it OK' album if I'm extremely sad, so I automatically associate the album with comforting me when a relationship ended and last summer. When I'm in a good mood I listen to 'If Your Memory Serves you Well'.

When do you find yourself listening to Serena's music the most? Or what sorts of memories are attached to her music?

When I drive, usually singin along loudly, often to Never Believed You or Every Single Day but I have almost all of her stuff including pod casts interviews live shows etc.(thanks Googlegnome)

When I run. Serena was kind enough to sign my mp3 player recently and I did my first 1/2 marathon yesterday with her music on and What I Wanna Know cranked as I sprinted the last k.

Favorite memory would be after the first time I saw her live and chatted with her, i bought my first copy of If your Memory Serves You Well and for the long drive home from Whistler on the Sea to Sky Highway I played it over and over while smoking my first Cuban cigar and singing loudly. That is my favorite memory of her music it was a sunny day driving along the ocean cliffs, just epic.
