Hi Serena, I wrote you a great, simple song
on poetrysoup.com called, I Want You to Know.

What Serena says is so true. There are so many people running around trying to be "individuals" and only looking out for themselves. It is such a great feeling when you get off your own island and connect with other people. Knowing that there are people out there that have your back and are looking out for you is a great feeling.

Islands Between Friends
I want to be, just the same as you,
for all the fun, we play and do,
supporting the other, in similar style,
I wish I could say, we stay the same, all the while,
love makes us change, life on the island of grace,
exploring our love, like a trek across space,
always different, we still connect in our place,
then its us on the island, all else will change,
but, if not all the same, could we find love on the range,
be half the same,
the adds not to blame,
generations are different, the bears on the run,
not even a half, to play and have fun,
nothing adds up, yet we flourish in focus,
like baby blue sky, in flat hocus pocus.
